The university provides a 100% scholarship to promising students who could become successful athletes, which includes covering the cost of sporting equipment and infrastructure, coaching, participating in various tournaments, free boarding and lodging, and a full fee waiver.
Manpreet Singh, an MBA student of LPU and the captain of the Indian Hockey team, will have the privilege to be India’s flag bearer for the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics. There will be another 6 LPU students playing alongside Manpreet Singhin the Indian Hockey Team:
Other LPU athletes include Bajrang Punia, the local star wrestler, representing the nation in wrestling, while Nishad Kumar (B.A), a prominent Indian para-athlete, will represent the nation in high jump.
